1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Yapt ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Yapt is a portfolio tracking tool for DeFi stablecoin yield positions on the Ethereum blockchain. The Service:

  • Discovers and tracks yield positions from Ethereum wallet addresses
  • Calculates APY (Annual Percentage Yield) from realized value changes
  • Projects estimated income based on historical yields
  • Provides optional notifications for APY changes and stablecoin depegging events

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account using WebAuthn (passkeys). You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your authentication devices (security keys, biometrics)
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

3.2 Account Requirements

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service
  • You must provide accurate information
  • You may not share your account or authentication credentials
  • One account per user (no multiple accounts without permission)

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
  • Abuse, harass, or threaten other users or staff
  • Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt the Service
  • Scrape or excessively query the Service with automated tools
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
  • Use the Service to promote competing services

5. Financial Disclaimers

IMPORTANT: Please read this section carefully.

5.1 Not Financial Advice

Yapt provides informational tools only. Nothing on this Service constitutes:

  • Financial advice
  • Investment advice
  • Legal advice
  • Tax advice
  • An offer to buy or sell any financial instrument

5.2 No Guarantees

We make no guarantees about:

  • Accuracy: Data may be incorrect, delayed, or incomplete
  • Returns: Past performance does not guarantee future results
  • Security: DeFi protocols may have bugs, be hacked, or fail
  • Stability: Stablecoins may depeg, lose value, or become worthless

5.3 Risk Warning

DeFi carries significant risk:

  • Smart contracts may have bugs or be exploited
  • Protocols may be hacked or rug-pulled
  • Stablecoins may lose their peg permanently
  • You may lose some or all of your capital
  • Yields may drop to zero without notice

Only invest what you can afford to lose.

5.4 No Liability for Losses

We are not responsible for any financial losses you incur, including but not limited to:

  • Protocol failures or exploits
  • Stablecoin depegging or default
  • Incorrect data or calculations
  • Missed notifications or alerts
  • Service downtime or unavailability

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its code, design, and content, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the Service without permission
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Remove or alter any copyright notices

You retain ownership of your data (wallet addresses, settings, etc.). You grant us a license to use this data solely to provide the Service.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability, but we do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted access to the Service
  • Error-free operation
  • Timely updates or notifications
  • Continued operation of the Service (we may discontinue it at any time)

We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications without prior notice.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services (Ethereum RPC providers, CoinGecko, ntfy.sh). We are not responsible for:

  • The availability or reliability of these services
  • Their terms of service or privacy policies
  • Any issues arising from their use

You are responsible for complying with the terms of these third-party services.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including:

  • Loss of profits or revenue
  • Loss of data
  • Loss of opportunity
  • Financial losses from DeFi investments

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed €100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (whichever is greater).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law
